In this quarter, we surveyed 2474 eyes. 88 % of the eyes assessed, post-surgery, have visual acuity in the good (6/6 – 6/18) category.
MFV is the only eye care organisation in India that conducts a socio-economic impact assessment of patients who have undergone eye surgery. Over and above, MFV's social workers also assess 100% of the pediatric (children's) cases as well as some of the more complex cases that fall into a 'must review' category like primary or secondary interocular cancers, interocular melanoma or patients who are dependent on only one eye.

World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines state that 80% of the patients should fall under good visual acuity category with available correction and 90% patients should fall under good category with best correction.

Some of the topics covered were: legal fundamentals, choice of registration for non-profit organizations, difference between Trust, Society & Company, income tax exemption & tax deduction for donors & NGO, updates on the FCRA Act & FCRA renewal procedures, and a brief about Financial requirements.

As often as this message is repeated, it cannot be said often enough.
If you spend a lot of time at the computer or focusing on any one thing, you sometimes forget to blink and your eyes can get fatigued.
Try the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look away about 20 feet in front of you for 20 seconds. This can help reduce eyestrain.
