Mission Disha
Productivity and efficiency at the workplace often begin with good eye health. Mission Disha, aimed at prioritising eye health at the workplace has enabled eye health services for several at-risk workers such as heavy vehicle drivers, weavers and other skilled workers over the years. This initiative continues to expand, reaching a wide spectrum of individuals across various occupational settings.
Individuals are screened and then advised for spectacles, surgery, and other interventions as needed as well as provided eye health education. While initially focusing on heavy vehicle drivers, the programme has expanded its coverage to include artisans, carpenters, weavers, and other professionals. Through Mission Disha, MFV is dedicated to promoting behavioural change and taking affirmative action to enhance road safety, well-being, mobility, and productivity for millions of people.
