MISSION JYOT
Vision Centres are sustainable, accessible, primary eye care clinics that offer comprehensive services by trained optometrists or vision technicians at affordable rates. Services include comprehensive primary eye care, referral services, follow-up, adequate awareness creation and eye health education in the community. These vision centres are focused towards serving the socio-economically challenged communities.
This globally proven model effectively reaches rural and marginalised populations to provide primary eye care closer to communities in need (universal eye health), which encourages people to seek care earlier, preventing vision problems from worsening and enabling people to reintegrate into the work force. MFV supports and implements vision centres across India and aims to set-up 500 such centres in the near future.
