The third quarter has been eventful and active for us, at MFV. We started the period in October, with a string of awareness activities on the occasion of World Sight Day on October 13th, 2016.

Community Impact Assessment
|
|
In this quarter, we treated over 1500 people. 88% of the eyes assessed, post-surgery, have visual acuity in the good (6/6 – 6/18) category, in keeping with the outcomes over the years.

Mangoli's failing eyesight made it difficult for her to manage her corner shop independently. Diagnosis at a MFV supported eye camp and subsequent treatment restored her independence. |

|
Dimming sight in one eye made it difficult for Kalyani to help in her husband's tailoring business or to look after her ailing mother. Timely treatment through a MFV-supported eye camp helped Kalyani regain her eyesight and her self-confidence.

|
|
Mohammed Imran, a visually impaired student is being supported through MFV’s Inclusive Education (IE) initiative to enhance his math skills to help cope with his academic curriculum at school. The IE initiative is managed in partnership with National Association for the Blind, India (NAB - India)
