Community Impact Assessment:
During the period July 2015 to September 2015, we surveyed 2459 patients - 46% were male and 54% were female. In this quarter, 90% of people have visual acuity in the Good (6/6 – 6/18) category.

Total number of eyes surveyed equals number of patients with one eye operated plus number of patients with both eyes operated counted twice to account for both eyes, i.e. 2433 +26 + 26 = 2485

55 year old Kanthammal is stepping out to head to the local market to sell leafy vegetables and earn her daily income. Her home is in a scenic village called Palaswaram, in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu. Kanthammal lives on her own. |

85-year-old Raghunath Powale lives in Nandgaon, Nashik district in Maharashtra. His world looked somewhat blurred, hazy outlines, contrasting light and darkness when his cornea started developing opacity. Since childhood he had vision only in one eye. |

Manji Lal is 60 years old and lives alone in Veermav village, Kanpur Nagar District, Uttar Pradesh. He lost his left eye when very young and grew up seeing only with his right eye. When he developed a cataract in it he was as good as blind.
