  Eyes on the North east
In the past year, there has been a rapid expansion of work in the North and North-East, from the Pediatric Eye Programme with Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital in Meerut to the Cataract Programme in the North East with Ramkrishna Mission for Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. We believe these programmes will help us further our mission in these remote pockets and help many marginalized communities. Mission For Vision furthers its mission in remote pockets of the North East.

  Outreach Eye Camps
Two Eye Screening Camps done in Nariman Point and Worli in Mumbai, in association with Bhojraj Chanrai Sankara Eye Hospital (BCSEH) in Malad This year the two Eye Screening camps done in Nariman Point and Worli in Mumbai, in association with the Bhojraj Chanrai Sankara Eye Hospital (BCSEH) in Malad were a great success. This underscores the need for reaching out eye care even in urban Mumbai. In fact, the initiative was so well-received that there has been encouragement from the Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Corporation (BMC) to do a similar initiative with their employees.

  From Strength to Strength
A Programme Development team has been set up to identify programmes and partners who can strengthen MFV's mission to eradicate avoidable blindness. This team will design, implement and monitor all programmes. Needless to say, they will carry this out while maintaining the highest standards of quality and results.

  Our Partner Programmes
As part of strategic inputs into partners' programmes, MFV facilitated a vision building exercise for Bansara Eye Care Centre (BECC) in Shillong, Meghalaya. Conducted by Lions Aravind Institute of Community Ophthalmology (LAICO), the exercise helped BECC identify key gaps and devise strategies. This will help them fill in the gaps and contribute to their holistic development towards offering higher quality eye care to the community.
