The 11th annual conference of ‘Vision 2020: The Right to Sight’, a forum working towards eliminating
avoidable blindness across the country by year 2020, was held in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Five team members from MFV attended the conference, which had the theme, ‘Excellence in eyecare: Learnings and practices’, this year. MFV CEO,

Maharashtra’s Marathwada region was presented by Mamta Singh, Head - Community Impact. The MFV team came back with some interesting
learnings about cataract-free zones, the economic burden of blindness, role played by ASHA workers,
etc. The conference also highlighted the need to encourage partners to present more work at this
level and to engage in small studies within existing programmes.
